Paul joined Holmes Mackillop as a student in 2023 before undertaking a specialised two-year traineeship in our Property team, assisting with aspects of both residential and commercial property.
Paul qualified into our Property team in June 2026, assisting with all aspects of commercial property.

About Zainab
Zainab joined Holmes Mackillop in April 2025 following the acquisition of D & J Dunlop solicitors in Ayr. Zainab completed her traineeship in August 2025 after graduating from Edinburgh Napier University in 2022 and completing the Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow in 2023.
Zainab is based in our Ayr office and works in our property department having experience in both residential and commercial conveyancing. Zainab is also able to assist clients in the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney.
Outside of work Zainab enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.

About Liam
Liam joined Holmes Mackillop in 2023 while completing his final year of study at the University of Glasgow and commenced his traineeship with the firm in 2024.
During his traineeship, Liam undertook seats within both our Corporate and Litigation departments. As part of the Corporate team, he gained experience across a variety of matters, with a particular focus on corporate transactions and shareholders’ agreements.
In the Litigation team, Liam assisted with a broad range of commercial and employment law disputes, gaining valuable exposure to a diverse spectrum of contentious matters.
Liam qualified as a Solicitor in June 2026 and is now a member of Holmes Mackillop’s Corporate team.
