Holmes Mackillop promotes Emma Donaldson to director
Holmes Mackillop Solicitors has promoted Emma Donaldson, former senior associate in its private client team, to a director of the firm.
Following qualification as a solicitor in 2007, Donaldson has since focused on working for individuals and families in private client matters. She assists clients by assessing their particular family circumstances and advising on how their Will can be tailored to their needs, including advice on Inheritance Tax and wider estate planning.
Donaldson has extensive experience in estate administration as well as providing support to the executors and beneficiaries throughout the process.
A full member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), she is also a tutor on the Private Client course on the Diploma for Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow.
Congratulating Donaldson on her promotion, fellow director Ross Brown said: “Emma currently heads up our busy Bishopbriggs office and, having joined Holmes Mackillop with me four years ago, is a key member of our team.
“Our private client offering has grown exponentially over the last few years and is continuing to do so, and with Emma working as a fellow director, we are well placed to enhance our offering to private clients throughout the West of Scotland.”
With over 240 years of experience, Holmes Mackillop has a long history of delivering a broad spectrum of legal services to its clients from offices in Glasgow City, Glasgow Southside, Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, and Renfrewshire.
