Holmes Mackillop Sponsored Ayrshire Hospice Road to the World Cup fundraiser announces squad of special guests
Holmes Mackillop Solicitors, Gold Sponsor of Ayrshire Hospice’s Road to the World Cup fundraising dinner, has welcomed the announcement of the squad of former football international special guests who will be battling it out for victory on the night.
The event taking takes place on Friday, 8th May 2026 at Ayr Racecourse to celebrate Scotland mens football team qualifying for the World Cup for the first time in 28 years and raise vital funds for the hospice.
The evening is hosted by Scottish sports broadcaster and journalist Jim Delahunt with highlights including a ‘Have I Got News For You’ style quiz, featuring a showdown between former football legends with Team Scotland (John Collins, Darren Jackson and Tosh McKinlay) taking on Team Rest of the World (Arthur Numan, Michael Mols and Bobby Petta).
The event includes a live auction, silent auction, and raffle. And Phil Ciarletta will provide musical entertainment to end the night with a bang!
